As Paul makes clear his heartbreak, Cara is strangely drawn to him, and literally gives him a shoulder to cry on. Later, as she communicates her own personal story, the bond between them grows. As they shake hands to part, Paul makes a novel offer: could she become his personal assistant, with free room and board to live at his place? Another hearty handshake seals the deal.

SPOILER ALERT: One morning after having moved into his home, Cara goes to Paul's bedroom while he's fast asleep and answers his cell phone, telling Mary that he's through with her and to stop calling him. She lies on his bed next to her sleeping boss, and still half asleep, Paul rolls over and caresses her, momentarily mistaking her for his wife!
